Although crime is down in Nashville, the Downtown Detention Center has been plagued by overcrowding. Last year, Hall announced that he wants to build another jail. In pride of place is an exhibit titled “Alexander Friedmann’s Plot Against the Downtown Detention Center.” The crime is memorialized with a dust mask, one of the recovered revolvers, and the circular key ring. A plaque reads: “It all started with a set of keys. . . .”
